Happy National Pie Day, and Gung Hei Fat Choy, it's also Chinese New Year! As tradition holds, this is a day to celebrate and rejoice with family, give gifts of money passed in small red envelopes and exchange sweets and treats with friends and neighbours! Do Not wash your hair, do NOT clean your house and do NOT scold your children. So to celebrate both occasions, The Little Fruit Pie Company is launching our website and sharing tips of sweets and treats to everyone within reach! We're happy to be in business this year of the dragon and have made our frozen pies available to you in 3 locations spread out around the lower mainland.

On the North Shore, please drop by the Pemberton Heights Corner Store, now known as the The Corner Store Cafe & More on W 22nd. Tracey and Rachel and the staff serve up the most fabulous coffee, host a variety of community breakfasts and events PLUS they have a great selection of pies in the freezer for you to take home and bake yourself.

In Langley, we're happy to have our host kitchen at the Ignite Cafe owned by Chef Dan Trites. A warm & funky little spot with fabulous lunches and fresh "comfort food" style dinners twice a week. Dan serves up our feature pies and home baked biscotti and other treats on his regular menu, plus his freezer is full of take home pies, try one today, just check the freezer at the back of the cafe!  The Ignite Cafe is on 204th between Douglas and the Fraser Highway.

And now in Ladner, Localz Urban Cafe opened their doors with a brand new look in the summer of 2011. Wow, talk about a busy place centrally located on Delta Street, they are proud to sell fresh baked seasonal pies by the slice with a cuppa joe or your favorite bevvy, plus they have a stash of frozen take home pies in their freezer. All you have to do is ask.

Richmond Country farms is our biggest location but remain closed until Easter 2012, everyone there needs a break after pumpkin season! You'll find fresh baked pies on their shelves from June thru October.

This is all new, fun and exciting. As we move forward, all I know is that together we can share thoughts, recipes and ideas. The saying goes "Do something you love", and I'm doing it. I love making pies, I hope you love eating them!

Keep your eyes open for our "Do it yourself" workshops, coming soon to our kitchen in Langley.
 See you soon ...... Joanne!
